I am one of the millions of Americans who suffers from allergies. In fact, I am very allergic to my cat, The Toot. I didn’t have any problems when we first adopted him, but within a year, it was obvious—constant sneezing, wheezing, sinus infections, etc. My allergist confirmed I had a cat allergy and suggested I get rid of the source… aka, The Toot. Giving away my pet was completely out of the question, so I did the next best thing – worked with the R&D team to develop a line of products that could help me and other allergy sufferers!
My allergist told me cleaning would be a key factor in controlling my allergies, especially because I was unable to remove the source. Along with frequent dusting and vacuuming, my personal cleaning regimen includes cleaning my carpets and rugs monthly with a Rug Doctor carpet cleaning machine and Rug Doctor Anti-Allergen Carpet Cleaner, as well as using Allergen Eliminator on all soft surfaces every few days. Allergen Eliminator is a must-have for me – I spray it on my couch, on the cat bed, on his blankets, and in our bed (his favorite sleeping place). I have to say, it has made a noticeable difference. While I still take my daily allergy medication, the fits of sneezing are less frequent when I clean my carpet about every 4 weeks with and use Allergen Eliminator diligently.
