The first Sunday in February has a special aura associated with it. For me, I think of delicious food, great time spent with family and friends and, of course, football!
Yep, that’s right – time for the Big Game on Sunday, Feb. 2. Even if you’re not the biggest football fan, this can still be a great time to attend get togethers or host one yourself.
Here are a few tips to prepare you for attending (or hosting) a Big Game party:
Pick your foods ahead of time: Don’t wait until the day of to decide what dish you’re concocting. Plan ahead what recipes you’ll make or what food you’ll bring / cater. If you need some inspiration, try taking a look at our Big Game Pinterest board.
Know what supplies to have on hand: If you’re the host, take a quick survey of what you have in the house. Do you have enough paper plates? Trash bags? Cleaning supplies? A great go-to product to have on hand is our Spot & Stain Remover. It’s an in-between spot cleaner that can help with barbecue sauce, beer, wine – myriad party stains.
Plan activities accordingly: Kids, pets or non-football lovers on the guest list? Have a few alternative activities in place for such occurrences (for example, coloring sheets for kids, toys for dogs and a deck of cards for those not watching the game).
