FAQs Answered, Just in Time for the Holidays!

Customer support is extremely important to us here at Rug Doctor, and because the weeks leading up to the holidays are some of the most popular times to rent, we thought we’d answer some of your most frequently asked questions.

We hope you find our advice helpful in making your holiday a success!

Question:  Why is my Rug Doctor machine not spraying water out onto the carpet?

Answer:  Make sure you fill the lower tank of the machine and that the solution line is attached properly in the back of the machine.  If you still do not get spray from the machine, you can always return it for an exchange.

Question:  Why is my machine not vacuuming water off the carpet?

Answer:  Make sure you are not walking too slowly, which can over-wet the carpet. Also ensure you’re not going over the carpet more than twice without allowing the carpet dry time between passes.  Even if the carpet still looks dirty, wait until the carpet is completely dry before trying to clean a spot multiple times.

Question:  How far in advance should I clean my carpets before a holiday party?

Answer:  Carpet needs adequate time to dry after a Rug Doctor treatment. Make sure to clean well ahead of your guests arriving, preferably the weekend before a party or dinner is planned.
